What we do;
We take in sick and injured sea birds who are hospitalised on arrival at the Sanctuary. They stay here until they are able to eat/ stand for themselves or have finished their course of medication. Afterwards we transfer them to a fully roofed aviary until they are strong enough to be put into an aviary which is half roofed and half open so they are able to acclimatise before being released back to the area they came from.
We take in Cormorants and other sea birds who
- have been injured from fishing lines and hooks
- have been injured by boats
- are orphaned
- have wing, leg and head injuries
- are starving
